The Supporting People Team manage a wide range of services that provide housing-related support enabling people to move to independent housing or to assist them in maintaining independent living.

Brighton & Hove City Council have been judged by independent inspectors to deliver "A good, "2 Star" Supporting People service with promising prospects for improvement.
***********************************************
Housing-related support that is funded by Supporting People includes:
- Accommodation and floating support
- Support provided by Key Workers
- Scheme Wardens or Managers
- Community alarm systems
- Someone to help service users learn skills to help them live independently
Supporting People funding does not pay for people or services that provide care, such as cleaning, shopping or making meals.
The Supporting People grant will only fund certain activities. These are called Eligible Tasks.
